Victor Hazlewood, CISSP, is Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Security Officer with more than 30 years experience in High Performance Computing (HPC) in the research and academic community. Victor is currently the Deputy Director of Operations for XSEDE, the NSF sponsored US National Cyberinfrastructure project, and directs networking and security for JICS. Victor has worked in a variety of areas of IT and HPC including systems, operations, security, grid middleware and infrastructure. He has worked on a variety of HPC systems including Cray systems, SGI systems, IBM SP, Intel Paragon, the Cray XT3/XT4/XT5 at NICS and the heterogeneous UT Advanced Computing Facility clusters. Victor has a B.S. in Computer Science from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
